Took some quick pics of the 2010 Babies from a Pastel x Cinnamon breeding. 1 Normal 1 Pastel 1 Cinnamon 1 Cinnamon Ringer. Unfortunately, I did produce a Pewter but it had to many kinks to keep. Definitly a downer but i will try again for next year. Sold the Pastel and the Normal and just got the Cinny Brothers left... Enjoy the pictures...

Day 17 Candling the Eggs...

I decided to Candle the eggs and see if i would be able to see some movements... 5 out of 6 eggs look fertile while 1 is lighting up like a lamp with no signs of veins. I cant make out the red shadow in the egg. I'm trying to be hopefully but i have already been told that it maybe nothing at all. So until the egg rots and smells, i will throw it out... Got to have HOPE, and you got to have FAITH. So i made alil video to get an idea of what I see every morning...Enjoy.

2010 Eggs !

I have been so busy lately that sometimes it feel impossible to keep up with everything... but i try. Since January this year i have been pairing my Pastel female with only my Cinnamon male...Yes, i have been daydreaming about Pewters is the reason i didn't want to introduce another male with her... At 1st i read all her signs wrong, according to date wise... Went on vacation in May and was expecting eggs for when i came back but all i got from her was a freshly shed-ed scales which put a Grey cloud over my breeding season this year, epically them being the only pairing for me. something told me that she had to be gravid. 1 she wasn't eating, 2 she wasn't losing any weight and 3 she started to reject the male so i had some thought that it maybe possible ! within a few weeks i seen the spine sign which let me know that she is gravid and just counting down the days...

Just like last year, as soon as i woke up i check on her and to see her coiled is ALWAYS the best thing to see 1st thing in the morning... After i got her coil off the eggs, there they lay 6 fertile eggs waiting to be put into the incubator... All 6 weighting at 612g, 1 smaller than the rest and 1 bigger than the rest... so 60day count down has started and i am extremely excited to see what will pip out in 50-60days...

09 HoldBack Update...

My
09 Holdbacks Females are doing great. They both have a little attitude but nothing that any newborn doesn't have... They are eating real well also, swallowing small rats with no problem... Can't wait to see these girls at breed able weight so i can prove out their clown gene. Their Father being 100% Het Clown and making these beauties 50% Het Clown... so just keeping my fingers crossed in what the outcome could be in 2yrs... (Day Dreaming) The Pastel is bright and has a glow about her, as well as the possible Het female... so excited ! Enjoy !

2010 Breeding Pair....

I have been MIA for a lil while now, been so busy with work with my crazy time schedules and I have also been Lazy... Last year has been extremely good to me in breeding, I came out with 2 clutches of a total of 12 eggs that successfully hatched out and was able to get 10 of them to great new homes... so that mean its that time this year to do it all again...! I can only do one pair due to space right now, the two I have chosen is my Female Pastel SunShyne x Male Cinnamon Brownie. So far so good, for a month now they have been locking for a whole day or two so I'm looking forward in seeing some fertile eggs in the near future...
